    • Weather grounds fly-in but WWII veterans drive to event

    • A very low ceiling kept planes grounded Saturday and none were able to attend the Commemorative Air Force Fly-in at the Pratt Regional Airport. The weather didn't prevent locals from attending the event and two World War II veterans, Marine Cpl. John Riggs and Army Air Corps 1st Lt. Chuck Chauncey were in attendance. Chauncey was a B-29 Pilot and flew 33 missions, most over Japan at night, in his B-29 "Goin' Jessie." The CAF plans to reschedule the event.
