- KDOT raises settled approach to bridge
- Posted July 12, 2012 midnight
- The Kansas Department of Transportation injected a combination of sand and concrete under the approach to the bridge on the south side of Pratt on U.S. 281 to raise the approach back to the level of the highway. The approach had settled over the years causing a lip of about two inches. Sand and concrete were pumped under the approach and lifted it back to the highway level. Traffic on the bridge was limited to one lane during the operation.
