The 16 and under Pratt Batbusters softball team recently completed their season with a third place finish in the Amatuer Softball Association 16 and under B state tournament.


The 16 and under Pratt Batbusters softball team recently completed their season with a third place finish in the Amatuer Softball Association 16 and under B state tournament.
Members of the team were Taylar Ardery, Montana Bailey, Brooke Blankenship, Taylar Catlin, Sam Kettering, Shelby Oldham, Hannah Page, Ali Rogers, Kinzie Spurgin, and Kelli Traffas. The team was coached by Erika Householter.
At the state tournament, held June 27-29 in Wichita, the Batbusters won three of five games. Both their losses were to Abilene Fastpitch, the eventual state runner-up.
Pratt played in five tournaments, including two 18 and under tournaments, and finished with a 26-11 record. One highlight was a win over defending state champion Thomas More Prep in a Dodge City Tournament.
The Batbusters also won the Pratt tournament and compiled a 12-2 record in the Wichita 16 and under league, earning them the league title.
