Football season is rapidly approaching, and Pratt High School will hold its annual Soap Bowl Friday evening at Zerger Field.


Football season is rapidly approaching, and Pratt High School will hold its annual Soap Bowl Friday evening at Zerger Field.
Soap Bowl activities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a volleyball scrimmage at the gym.
Freshman football will take center stage at 6:15 p.m. at Zerger Field, with cross-country following at 7 p.m.
Cheerleaders, girls golfers, girls tennis players, and all football players will be introduced beginning at 7:10 p.m.
The varsity football scrimmage is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Girls golf, coached by Kerry Conn, was the first team to start their season, as they played in a tournament at Nickerson today.
The first action for the PHS girls tennis team is set for Thursday at 3 p.m. when the Greenbacks, coached by Larry Kahmeyer, travel to Lyons.
The PHS freshman volleyball team will begin the season on Thursday, Sept. 4 at Great Bend.
Football season begins Friday, Sept. 5 when PHS hosts Chapman. Jeff Fuss is beginning his seventh year as head coach of the Greenbacks.
The cross-country teams, coached by Kathy Hitz, start their season with a meet at Hoisington at Saturday, Sept. 6.
Under the direction of Dean Rausch, PHS varsity volleyball will also open the season on Saturday, when they play in the Skyline Thunderbird Invitational. The tournament action begins at 9 a.m.
