Sarah Mason led the Pratt High School girls golf team to third place in the team standings at Nickerson Tuesday afternoon.
Mason shot a 51 on The Highlands course, finishing sixth as an individual.
Pratt’s Madison Stalcup finished tenth.
Maize’s McKenzie Cox won a playoff for the indiividual title after Hoisington’s Kaylee Miller also shot a 43.
“The girls were a little nervous going into the tournament after only having five practices,” coach Kerry Conn said.
Maize topped the team standings with a 200. Hoisington was second with a 210, while Pratt was eight strokes back at 218.
“It was a great season beginning and I’m looking forward to more great scores,” Conn said.
PHS is back in action Tuesday, Sept. 9, when the varsity and junior varsity travel to Medicine Lodge for a 1 p.m. meet.
