The community is invited to attend a come and go open house and dedication of the new Pratt Fire Department Station. The open house will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at the new fire station at 201 S. Jackson also know as the former J.C. Foods store.

The dedication will take place sometime between 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. depending on the crowd at hand, said Pratt Fire Chief David Kramer.

Guests are encouraged to walk through the facility and visit with the firefighters. The fire trucks and other firefighting equipment will be on display as well as a video presentation. Cookies and ice cream will be served.

The new station is the result of many hours of labor since remodel started in September 2009, Kramer said.
