  • Ravera M. Edwards, 80, Lincoln, Neb., died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011. She was born April 18, 1930, in Pratt, to Raymond Edward and Alta Vera Hall Rolf.

  • Ravera M. Edwards, 80, Lincoln, Neb., died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011. She was born April 18, 1930, in Pratt, to Raymond Edward and Alta Vera Hall Rolf.
    She was a secondary special education teacher in Lincoln Public Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1995. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwestern College in Winfield and did graduate work at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
    She was a member of Eastridge Presbyterian Church, Bell Choir of the church for over 20 years, L.E.A., N.S.E.A. and N.E.A., KAPPA Omicron Nu, and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Adult Literacy.
    Family members include husband, Harold K. Edwards, Lincoln; sons and daughter-in-law, Keith Wayne Edwards, St. Maries, Idaho, Rolf Alan and Barbara Edwards, Summit, N.J.; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn Diane and David Brehm, St. Paul, Neb., and Veralea and Andrew Swayne, Seattle, Wash.; six grandchildren and their spouses, Joel and Maegan Brehm, Liz and Pepper Papineau, Danny Swayne, David Swayne, Lindsay Edwards and Leighton Edwards;
    brother and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Peggy Rolf, Littleton, Colo., and Rita Rolf, Salem, S.C.; nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by parents and a brother, Warren Rolf.
    Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Friday at Eastridge Presbyterian Church, 1135 Eastridge Drive, with Pastor J. P. Carlson officiating. Interment is at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Iuka Cemetery, Iuka, with Pastor Fred Pinkerton officiating.
    Memorials may be made to the Iuka United Methodist Church or Pratt First United Methodist Church.
