John Lee Kelley, age 74, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.


John Lee Kelley, age 74, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. 

John was born Sept. 15, 1936 in Smead, Ark., to John A. and Novis York Kelley. John served in the 102nd ASA. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, gardener, reader and genealogist.

John married Carolyn Brownfiel on Oct. 25, 1967 at Camden, Ark.  She survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Angela and husband Michael Hughes of Basehor; two grandchildren, Samantha and Ethan Hughes; five brothers. Loy Kelley of Camden, Ark., Larry Kelley of Hot Springs, Ark., Pat Kelley of Largo, Fla., Joe Kelley of Hudson, Fla., and Lamar Kelley of Camden, Ark.; a sister, Lillian McKissie of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Frank Kretzmer of Hudson, Fla., and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Kelley, and two sisters, Donna Kretzmer and Barbara Strickland.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at the mortuary with Steve Triplett presiding.
