After sweeping Coffeyville on Friday afternoon, the Pratt Community College Beavers couldn’t get much going against No. 16 Labette on Saturday in a pair of losses.

The Lady Beavers beat Coffeyville 10-7 in game one Friday before winning 8-6 in the second game. Against Labette, Pratt lost 20-10 in a high-scoring first game before falling 6-2 in the second game.

The Beavers had to rally against Coffeyville, as both teams were able to put up some offense early and often. Pratt native Ashton Neumann hit a homerun that helped Pratt retake the lead during the first game against Coffeyville.

In the first game against Labette, Pratt just couldn’t keep runs off the board, as Labette piled them on. The second game was much more competitive, but Pratt couldn’t turn the corner and rally in the end.

The Lady Beavers are scheduled to host a midweek conference game on Thursday against Dodge City at 3 p.m.
