For those wanting to sendoff the state-bound Greenback baseball, softball and track teams on Friday, the teams will each be leaving at separate times during the day.

The baseball team will be the first to leave, departing at 9 a.m. to head to Salina for their 4 p.m. game.

Track and field is next, leaving at 10:45 a.m. to head to Wichita for the state track meet. Class 4A events won’t start until 2 p.m., with the smaller classifications starting early at 8 a.m.

Softball will be the final group to leave Pratt, departing at noon for their 7 p.m. game in Salina.

Parents and fans are encouraged to support the teams as they depart from the Pratt High School parking lot throughout the morning.
The baseball team earned the No. 2 seed at state and will face Maize South in its opener. The softball team is the No. 3 seed and will face Paola in its first game. If either team wins their opening game, they are guaranteed two more games on Saturday and can do no worse than fourth place.
