Clyde Lynam, 92, died Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Leisure Homestead in St. John. He was born March 14, 1919, in Waldron, the son of Marshall and Mary Fairchild Lynam. A resident of Barber County since 1941, most recently living in St. John, he was retired from the Sawyer Co-op.


Clyde Lynam, 92, died Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Leisure Homestead in St. John. He was born March 14, 1919, in Waldron, the son of Marshall and Mary Fairchild Lynam. A resident of Barber County since 1941, most recently living in St. John, he was retired from the Sawyer Co-op.

He was of the Protestant faith.

On Aug. 19, 1940, he married Erma Robison at Anthony. 

He is survived by his sons Darrel (Jackie) Lynam, Lakeview, Ark., and Mike (Lenora) Lynam, Lindsborg; seven grandchildren, Nancy Whitfield, Pratt, Matt Lynam, Norman, Okla., Erin Lynam, Lindsborg, Cindy Whitesell, Rose Hill, Casey Pack, Wellington, Amy Hendrix, Wichita, and Jasper Lynam, Seattle, Wash.; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Mary Jane Whitfield; a brother, Milferd Lynam; and four sisters, Geraldine Jefferis, Lois Jamison, Maxine Elington, and Gertrude Stamm.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Larrison Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery in Medicine Lodge.
