All four of the Greenback relay teams placed outside the top seven, while several individuals fell short of the medal stand as the girls team, which had high expectations for this meet all season long, scored just seven points while the boys scored five.

Dominique Staats managed a fifth-place finish in the 400m dash, unable to post a time under one minute as she did last year. Cheyenne Becker, still not to her old form after a second-consecutive season hampered by knee surgery, finished seventh in the two-mile race and fifth in the 1600m.

Aubrey Hoover was unable to medal in the hurdles races, and the Lady Greenbacks’ other athletes also fell short.

For the boys, Matt Swank took seventh place in the discus with a throw of 138-8, while Payson Maydew took fourth in the 300m hurdles in a time of 41.02.

Brady Seidel finished just outside the medal stand in the 100m in eighth place.
