Skyline senior Kaitlyn Swonger has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball next fall with the Pratt Community College Beavers.

A varsity letter winner for her sophomore through senior years, she has played in almost every position. Her senior season statistics are impressive:

She served 94 percent, had 23 ace serves, had 307 kills and averaged 3.3 kills per set, she had 57 total blocks and 145 digs.

“Kaitlyn played all the way around — being our go-to-hitter on the front row and a primary passer on the back row,” said Coach Summer Younie.   “She has great leadership skills, she was voted as one of our captains and was our floor captain during matches. She was always enthusiastic and positive. She strived to be the best player she could be.

“She was a offensive threat toward any team — she could hit a multitude of shots making it hard to block her and defend her.

“She will be a great asset next year for PCC. I am excited that she is going to a college close to home so that we can keep seeing her play.”
