Green Valley held their annual Senior Tournament Saturday. 31 golfers, 27 from Pratt, 3 from Medicine Lodge and 1 from Attica, braved the ridiculous and intemperate wind to complete the 18 holes. The tournament is flighted solely according to age, with a roughly equal number of competitors in each flight.

Winners Saturday included: (A)age 50-59 1. Andy Kisner 78 2. Steve Landry 81 3. Kenton Ladenburger 84 (B) age 60-61 1. John Mathes 79 2. Randy Henderson 88 3. Larry Myers 88.

(C) age 62-71 1. Dean Staab 81 2. AG Boley 87 3. Mike Sewell 90. (D) age 72-74 1. Warren Meireis 88 2. Lyle Keller 92 3. Darryl Horst 96 (E) age 75-82 Gary Miller 88 Don Belden 91 Marty Tibbetts 93.

Lyle Keller won the hole prize for closest to the pin on #2 and Mike Sewell ran in the longest putt on #9. Scott Alberg had the longest drive on #5 among golfers 50-60. John Mathes hit it the farthest among 61- 70 year olds and AG Boley claimed bragging rights among those 71 and up.

The Tribune notes that none of the golfers shot their age.
