Mary K. Shanline, 92, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at South Wind Hospice House in Pratt. She was born Sept. 2, 1919, in Berlin, N.D., the daughter of August and Christina (Schroeder) Kosse. She married Lloyd Shanline on June 13, 1945 at Ogden, Utah. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2008.
She lived in Wichita from 1945 to 1947 when she moved to Pratt County. She worked at Turon State Bank as a cashier.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen of Glassboro, N.J., and Paul of Pratt; a daughter, Christine Zongker of Paola; a brother, Elmer Kosse of Carrington, N.D.; a sister, Gladys Koke of Santa Clara, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 11 at Larrison Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. A Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Floyd McKinney officiating. Burial will be at Turon Cemetery.
