Evelyn E. Frisbie, 87, died Friday, July 20, 2012 at South Wind Hospice Home in Pratt. She was born Feb. 12, 1925, on the family farm in Stafford County, the daughter of Floid and Alta Hathaway Miller.
She was a receptionist at the Pratt Tribune for over 30 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, PRMC Auxiliary and Friendship Meals Lunch Bunch.
On March 15, 1944 she married Jim “Junior” Frisbie at Pratt. He survives.
Other survivors include a son Terry and (Linda) Frisbie, Dodge City; two daughters, Kay (Dan) Gifford, Kechi, and Connie (Mike) Buchner, Rocky Ford, Colo.; a brother, Bill Miller, Dodge City; two sisters, Doris (Doug) Johnston, Norton, and Fern (Kenneth) Tompkins, Great Bend; 5 grandchildren, Mike (Jinger) Buchner, Kevin (Brandy) Buchner, Derek Schweitzer, Darren (Michele) Gifford, and Michelle Gifford, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson Tracy Buchner.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. – service time Monday, July 23. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt, with Reverend Jan Blasi officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St John.
