Ida Belle Kenworthy Moomau, 88 went home Aug. 9, 2012 to be with her Lord at South Wind Hospice House, Pratt. The oldest of 10 children of Clifford and Margaret Winn Kenworthy, Ida Belle grew up on a farm south of Coats. She was born Sept. 28, 1923, at Hardtner. She grew up with four brothers, Richard, Buck, Bob and Bill Kenworthy of Pratt, and five sisters, Lois Mills (Huston), Lake City, Ann Freeman, Pratt, Jane Boyd (Mike), Lake City, and Susie Young (Phil), Anthony.
She was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Richard, Buck and Bob; and a sister, Alberta Petty.
She married Marvin E. "Buster" Moomau on Dec. 22, 1944, in Pratt. He preceded her in death on Sept.13, 2010.
Survivors include a son Mike (Judy) of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Sonja Johnson, Halstead, Shawna Juarez, Albuquerque, N.M. and Scott Moomau, El Paso, Texas; six great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Ida Belle graduated from Coats High School after moving from Hardtner grade school. She worked at the Pratt Air Base during World War II. Living in Holyrood she worked in insurance in Stroud, Okla. She worked as a bookkeeper for Stroud National Bank and Lincoln County Dist.#1.
Square dancing was her greatest love.
Ida belle was a member of the Lutheran Church. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary for 47 years.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Hardtner Cemetery, Hardtner.
