  • One of the final summer activities for the Pratt Recreation Department was a 9-10 year old boys All-Star Game, held at Green Sports Complex. Pratt Rec had five 9-10 year old teams this summer, and the coaches for those teams served as the coaches for the All-Star Game.
A "draft" was held among the coaches to determine which players would be on what team.
Coaches for the Reds and Blues were Robert Lamatsch, Neil Freund, Greg Pelland, Kenny Tatro and Adam Deda .
Serving as umpires were Tanner Schonfeldt and Bruce Pinkall. Dick Anderson of KMMM was the announcer and kept it fun throughout.
A skills competition was held before the game for players that didn't compete in the league. It included throwing, running and a home run derby.
The game was won by the Blue Team 13-7, but the Reds had their moments. The Reds led 6-1 after 3 innings, but the Blues put 4-spots on the board in each of the last three frames while Red could only manage to push across one additional tally in that time.
Following is the summary of what each player did at the plate. HR denotes that player hit a home run.
All home runs were out of the park, as fences were set at 160 ft. to add to the excitement. The boys responded by clubbing 5 big flies.
    Red Team:
Nolan Freund 4-4 HR; Thirston Cornelson 2-4; Brent Detwiler 2-4; Dalton Freund 2-4; Derek Roadhouse 3-4; Brett Huslig 2-4; Colton Campbell 2-4; Thomas Sturgin 3-4; Hunter Beren 0-3; Jackson Wallace 2-3.
