Harold Earl Morgan, 88, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at South Wind Hospice Home in Pratt. He was born Aug. 5, 1924, in Coffeyville, the son of Elmer and Sarah Froman Morgan. Harold graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1954 with a bachelor's degree in history and speech. He was a carpenter and was a minister for 32 years for Southern Baptist Churches in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.

He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, and the Pratt Senior Center. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.

On May 6, 1944, he married Lila Lee Thompson at Coffeyville. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Harry Lee (Joyce) Morgan, Springfield, Mo., and Mark (Denise) Morgan, Pratt; two daughters, Ann (Jim) Miesner, Bristow, Okla., and Pat Brant, Pratt; a twin brother, Dr. Darold (Elizabeth) Morgan, Richardson, Texas; a sister, Norma Briggs, Texas; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald, and a sister Doris Kendrick.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Larrison Mortuary 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt, where family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Southern Baptist Church, Pratt. Burial will be in the Ellenwood Cemetery, Sawyer.
