Craig R. Ballinger, 50, of Sylvia, passed away, Sept. 14, 2012, at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at the United Methodist Church in Stafford. A memorial has been established with the Fairfield High School for the benefit of the track program. For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.hawksfuneralhome.com.
Craig was born March 1, 1962, the son of Gilbert and Dorothy (Hamant) Ballinger in Wichita. He graduated from the Fairfield High School in 1980. Craig was united in marriage with Maria Clark on April 1, 1987. The couple later divorced. Craig was united in marriage to Vicki Doughten Crane on July 10, 1991, in Winfield. He worked at the Cattleman's Feed Yard, Woodwork Manufacturing and was currently employed at the Hutchinson Salt Company. Craig enjoyed his motorcycle, fishing, gardening and spending time with his friends and family.
Craig is survived by his wife Vicki of the home; sons, Craig Michael Ballinger of Hutchinson, Richard Crane and his wife Sasha of Arkansas City; and daughter, Shelly Squires and her husband Robert of Fredonia; his mom, Dorothy Ballinger of Pratt; siblings, Susan Sanders and her husband Rick of Preston, Curtis Ballinger and his wife Terri of Colorado Springs, Colo., Virginia Watkins and her husband David of Pratt, Gerald Ballinger and his wife Paula of Trousdale, and Lori Nye and her husband Fred of Pratt; five grandchildren, Rylan Squires, Tavis Squires, Kendall Squires, Kolson Crane and Shyann Squires.
He is preceded in death by his father.
