  • C. Maxine Pritchett Rigdon, 87, died Sept. 20, 2012 at Good Samaritan Center, Hutchinson. She was born June 21, 1925 in Lamar, Colo., the daughter of Bert and Fern Danke Pritchett.
    She was a 1943 graduate of Byers High School. She was a resident of Hutchinson from 1948-1969, moving to Fort Collins, Colo., in 1969, moving back to Hutchinson in 1997. She was the longtime secretary for the president of the former Hutchinson National Bank, and had served as secretary for several departments at Colorado State University. She and her husband started their first business in ceramics in 1970 in Colorado. The last ten years in Colorado, they were in porcelain.
    She was a member of Bethany Church of the Nazarene, Hutchinson from 1954 to the present.
    She married Donald W. Rigdon on July 4, 1943 in Hopewell. He died Nov. 18, 2009. Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Diane Rigdon, Hutchinson; two sisters-in-law, Marie Eubank, Pratt and Rose Ellen Ewing, Jacksonville, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harold Pritchett; and two sisters, Mildred VanGerpen and Lois Slocum.
    Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Farmington Cemetery, Macksville. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Church of the Nazarene, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jay Bessmer and Chaplain Randall Turner presiding. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.
