Students and staff gather for annual See You At The Pole.
Students and teachers at Skyline Schools met at the pole on Wednesday, not the north or south ones, but the flag pole for the national See You at the Pole event.
"See You at the Pole is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event taking place the fourth Wednesday every September," Skyline teacher Summer Younie said.
Sixty-seven people attended Skyline's event. The theme was "Awakening."
"I think it went well. We had a great mix of younger students through seniors, faculty and parents," Younie said.
The Skyline Fellowship of Christian Athletes provided donuts, juice and milk.
See You at the Pole has been around for 22 years. In the last three years Younie and FCA have hosted the event at Skyline.
"See You At The Pole brings teenagers to their school flagpoles to intercede for other students, their schools, families and nation, asking God to bring moral and spiritual awakening," Younie said.
Whether a single student standing alone, two or three huddled together in unity, or hundreds gathered in front of the school, See You at the Pole was about students praying for awakening on campuses all over the world.
"We all come together as one body to pray for our country and our school," Skyline junior Abby Giles said.
Colin Little is a sophomore at Skyline School.
