  • The annual Skyline Schools book fair will be arriving soon.
The Skyline library will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair beginning on Oct. 22. It will last three days, ending on Oct. 24. This will be the 18th book fair that has been held at the school.
Librarian Sue Buhler holds the book fair in conjunction with parent teacher conferences.
The book fair may look a little different. There will be more books for sale that are at a high school level. It will be two Scholastic book fairs offered at the same time.
The kids "are always very excited about it because all of the new books are so cool," Buhler said. "They love the book fair."
Many kids have already been asking when it is coming after seeing all of the posters in the hallways.
"I enjoy getting to see how people get excited about reading," Buhler said.
Buhler's favorite part about the book fair is seeing all of the kids and their parents.
The book fair is typically very well attended and another big turnout is expected from the community.
Proceeds from the book fair are returned back to the library. Buhler can spend 50 percent of the sales to get new books from Scholastic for all the kids to check out, or she can choose to keep 25 percent in cash for future library purchases.
There will be great books available for kindergarteners through 12th graders. Everyone from the community is welcome to take part in the fun.
Each sale will help support the school's library and promote reading for students of all ages.
    To see what the book fair has to offer visit Skyline Schools from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 22, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Oct.23, or 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Oct. 24.
