  • Skyline entered pool play the #6 seed and drew Kiowa County as their first game of the day, finishing with a pair of losses against Hill City and Winchester.
The Lady T'Birds played ahead in both of their opening matches, winning 25-20 in the first and 25-22 in the second. The T'Birds snuffed out a Mavericks comeback rally in the second match and took advantage of a Heather Melton serving error to win their first game of the day.
Pratt drew a tough Hill City Team (the #2 seed) in their second game of the day. The first match, which went Hill City's way (25-20), was not without its fireworks as Hill City Coach Alan Stein and Pratt-Skyline Head Coach Summer Younie had a heated exchange over a foul call that first went Hill City's way, but was reversed.
In their third game, Skyline played the #7 seeded Winchester team. While no doubt a talented team, Winchester looked fatigued going into their third game of the day, having just played a tough three match set against The Kiowa County Mavericks without a break. Winchester, who won their first two games of the day won the first match 26-24, but it wasn't easy. The second match was as tough as the first, but Skyline couldn't pull out a win, despite being ahead for most of the match and lost 23-25.
Pratt finished with a 1-2 record and are awaiting the results of the Kiowa County vs. Hill City game.
