Ministerial Alliance plans an evening of powerful praise and worship, encouraging scriptures, testimonies of praise, and the fellowship of the Body of Christ all together.
The Pratt County Ministerial Alliance and local churches invite the community to join in a night of Thanksgiving on Sunday, Nov. 11. The worship service will be held at 7 p.m. at Pratt Community College Carpenter Auditorium. A casual fellowship with refreshments will follow in the PCC lobby.
An offering will taken for the benevolence fund of the Ministerial Alliance.
The service is being held early for two reasons, according to the Rev. Stan Hendershot, pastor at First Baptist Church. The goal is to include PCC students; in another week they will be absent from the campus. Also, waiting for a date close to Thanksgiving Day has meant that many families have conflicts.
The service will include music, personal testimonies on the "Be Thankful" theme, scripture and a Veteran Appreciation moment.
Anyone who wants to sing in a community choir is invited to come about 30 minutes ahead of time for a brief rehearsal.
