  • A Pratt woman suffered minor injuries after rear-ending a city sanitation truck just before noon Thursday.
Abigail Skaggs, 18 of Pratt, was westbound on First Street in a 2012 Pontiac when she failed to yield to Pratt City 2007 Sterling sanitation truck and rear-ended the vehicle.
The sanitation truck was also westbound but stopped on the street to wait for traffic to clear before turning south at the alley between Thompson and Pine, said Pratt Police Officer Scott Zimmerman.
Pratt County EMS transported Skaggs to Pratt Regional Medical Center where she was treated and released
The driver of the truck, 55-year-old Joe Compton of Pratt, and his passenger Jordan Ziehr were not injured in the accident.
The car sustained heavy front-end damage while the sanitation truck had very minor damage to the rear end.
