Irvin L. Humble, 90, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center in Pratt. The eldest child of Leslie L. and Ruby Keyes Humble, he attended Sawyer Schools, graduating in 1940 and attended Oklahoma A&M College for one year. On being rejected for military service during World War II, he worked in aircraft production in Wichita, and retired from Boeing Co. on Jan. 1, 1982.
He was a member of the Kilwinning No. 265 AF & AM, Pratt, Wichita Consistory Shrine, and the N.R.A.
On Sept. 2, 1949 he married Margaret (Summers) Yohe at Wichita. She preceded him in death on Dec. 8, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ivan Neal and Vernon Gail Humble; an infant son and an infant daughter.
He is survived by a sister, Donna Humble, Pratt.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday at Larrison Mortuary 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary with Masonic Rites. Burial will be in the Ellenwood Cemetery, Sawyer.
