Salvation Army bell ringers will be working at Dillon's, beginning Nov. 16 and in front of the Walmart store starting the day after Thanksgiving. The money raised between Nov. 16 and Christmas determines the budget for the coming year, and 88 percent of the money raised here stays in Pratt.
Pratt RSVP administers the fund and can help residents with utility bills, shelter, transportation, food and medical expenses. They can be reached at 672-7811.
Money tossed into kettles supplements the Salvation Army's main fund-raiser, the "paper kettles" inserted in newspapers and donations from other sources.
