  • Pratt Regional Medical Center planners presently have a wish list that exceeds the budget for a voter-approved expansion and renovation of the hospital campus by $5 million. They are looking to prioritize and reduce that list, according to Hilary Dolbee, PRMC's chief financial officer.
Dolbee, accompanied by Pratt County Hospital Board President, Rick Sanders, gave the first report to commissioners after the passage of the recent sales tax issue in support of the hospital. Sanders said the city of Pratt has been cooperating with PRMC during the initial planning phases of the project.
Rumors relating to problems associated with the electrical system planning for the project are incorrect, according to Dolbee. However, she did state not all of the original construction proposals were going exactly as planned. Dolbee said an electrical contractor has been hired for the project and intensive planning is currently underway.
Dolbee, who has been chosen to be the spokesperson for the project, was asked to report to the commissioners once a month relating to the ongoing plans and specifications being developed for the facility.
    In other matters, commissioners:
    • Approved the purchase of a tanker truck by Pratt County Road and Bridge Department for $18,500.
    • Reappointed Rick Shriver, Eddie Petrowsky and Darren Hodgkinson to three-year terms on the Pratt County Planning and Zoning Board.
    • Approved the sale of property and the issuance of a quit claim deed to Roy Holmquist for $1,500.
