  • The Cannonball Trail Central Kansas Chapter American Red Cross is again sending Christmas cards to the military bases overseas where Kansas soldiers are stationed.
Individuals, schools, and businesses are asked to sign a card to show the soldiers we care, and they are loved and appreciated by people in Kansas.
"Please assist us in making this Christmas holiday a very special time for a soldier away from home," said Donna Meier Pfeifer, executive director.
. The military ask that cards have no glitter on the cards, and no street addresses, however, name/signature and city are OK.
Cards need to be at the Red Cross office by Dec. 10 so they can be addressed and arrive at the military base in time for Christmas.
Cards may be left at the office, where cards are also available to sign, or can be mailed to Cannonball Trail American Red Cross, 114 N. Main Street, Suite B, Pratt, KS 67124.
