James "Ricky" Walker, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at Via Christi-St. Francis, Wichita. He was born Dec. 24, 1958, at Jacksonville, Fla., the son of Clyde and Susie Murray Walker. He worked for Cox Communications as a technician.
He was retired from the US Army and the Army Reserves, having served during Operation Desert Storm.
He was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars.
He married Doris Brehm and they shared 30 years of love and happiness together.
He is survived by his wife Doris Walker, Pratt; his father, Clyde Walker, Nahunta, Ga.; two sons, Jamis Walker, Blairsville, Ga., and Christopher Walker, Arizona; three daughters, Andrea Helmrath, Las Vegas, Nev., Taylor Walker and Harley Walker, both of Pratt; two brothers, Dale Walker, Nahunta, Ga., and Marty Walker, Texas; a sister, Cristy Jennings, Hoboken, Ga., and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Larrison Mortuary 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt.
