  • Elaine Annette Webster, 57, died Jan. 3, 2013. She was born June 4, 1955 in Fort Sill, Okla., daughter of Jim and Carolee (DeFord) Webster.
    A graduate of Cunningham High School, she graduated from Pratt Community College and later from Kansas State University. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pratt, Lorraine Chapter #39 OES in Medicine Lodge and the Kansas State University Alumni Association.
    She retired from the Pratt County Appraisers Office and previously worked for Texas Energies Inc., Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, and Pratt High School.
    Elaine loved her faithful companion "Bear", working in her flower garden, crafts, researching family genealogy and making "Barbie" furniture for her nieces. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
    Survivors include: her mother, Carolee of Pratt; a brother Steve and his wife Debbie, Great Bend; three nieces, Haley Webster, Kansas City, Mo., Stephanie Webster, Manhattan, and Ashley Riedell, Newport News, Va.; a nephew, David Webster, Great Bend; and friends of the family, Penny and Natasha Wilkenson.
    Elaine was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth J. "Jim" Webster; and brother, Greg Webster.
    Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday 1 to 8 p.m., with family receiving friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the mortuary with Dr. Dan Ferguson presiding. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
