Mary Lois Horsch, age 86, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Via Christi Village in Ponca City, Okla. Mary was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Andale, to Bob and Della (Kropf) Fouquet.
Mary married James A. Horsch on Feb. 3, 1948, in Osceola, Mo. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2011.
Mary and Jim lived in Meade from 1955-1973, where Mary worked for the Meade Globe Press. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and the Sacred Heart Ministry of Praise, all of Pratt.
She is survived by four sons, JD Horsch of Ottawa, Steve Horsch of Dillon, Colo., Bob Horsch and Mike Horsch, both of Wichita; three daughters, Kathy Godfrey of Wichita, Jane Sneath of Meade, and granddaughter Lisa Miller of Ponca City, Okla., standing for Diane Watson, who preceded her death; two sisters, Jeanne Fouquet of Austin, Texas and Donna Getz of Pflugerville, Texas; one brother, Kent Fouquet of Overland Park; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim; three brothers, Robert, Ted and Paul; and two sisters, Alma and Maxine.
Visitation will be Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pratt with the Rev. Floyd McKinney presiding. Inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, at a later date.
