Teams playing in the classic are St. John, Macksville, Pratt, Larned, Nickerson, Medicine Lodge, Central Plains and Ness City.

Question 5 - Last year the title game came down to the final minute of the game. Who made the final go-ahead shot for the winning team, what team was he on? Winner Derek Staub, answer Micah Swank, Pratt against Medicine Lodge. Swank shot a three-pointer with about a minute left to play to put Pratt up by two. Med Lodge player cut the lead to one with a free throw with about 40 secs left. Swank missed a free throw and two last minute shots by Med Lodge missed giving Pratt a 55-54 win. Swank was voted tournament MVP. Larned wont the sportsmanship trophy for 2012.
Question 4, Only one team has won the Classic more than three times in a row. Which team was it, and how many times in a row did they win? Extra credit for who won the most titles total. Winner Ron Moore. Hoisington won the title five years in a row from 1995-99. They also won in '74, '84 for a total of seven titles. St. John also has seven titles winning in 73, 81, 82, 83, 85, 89 and 04. Macksville has six wins starting in 1988 with their most recent title in 2011. Larned holds the record with nine titles starting with the third year of the Classic in 1971. They never won more than two years back-to-back.
