LMS coach Bryan Pixler said, “Thursday’s double dual at home allowed us to knock the rust off after five snow days and wrestle as well as we did at Lyons.”
Liberty wrestled in front of a home crowd on Thursday, February 28th hosting Larned and Russell Middle Schools in a traditional double dual. Liberty won both duals defeating Larned 51-22 and Russell 52-42. Coach Pixler observed, “We had a slow start out of the gate but the energetic crowd helped inspire the young Greenback wrestlers to finish strong against Larned and carry that momentum into the Russell dual.” Liberty finishes their season on Tuesday, March 5th travelling to Lakin Middle School for a small round robin tournament with Lakin, Cimarron and Sublette.
