  • Community Concert show features music and comedy

  • Pianist Rich Ridenour teams up with comedian/violinist Steve Brook to give the Pratt Community Concert Association audience a Sunday afternoon of comedic effects performing great classics, a little bit of Jack Benny, Victor Borge and Abbott and Costello.
    The show begins at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10 at Pratt Community College's Carpenter Auditorium. Patrons are reminded Daylight Savings Time begins on this date.
    Ridenour has built a formidable career performing concerts of great piano favorites from classical masterworks to American ragtime, jazz and rock and roll.
    A Michigan native with a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a master's from Julliard, he has a long career instructing piano at Calvin College and Western Michigan University.
    Violinist Steve Brook has been a member of the Grand Rapids Symphony since 1979 and is currently Assistant Principal Second Violin. He is also a Michigan native, having taught at Calvin College and Cornerstone University.
    Currently, he teaches in the Jenison Public Schools' orchestra program and is in high demand as a performer for his unique blend of music, story, and humor.
    Individual tickets will be available at the door for those without PCCA season tickets.
