William M. "Bill" Bratton Jr., 37, of Junction City, passed away March 22, 2013. Graveside services were held March 27 at Fairview Cemetery in Phillipsburg, with Pastor Lorna Paulus officiating. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Homes, Junction City, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions have been designated to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 801 Roeder Road, Ste. 1000, Silver Springs, MD 20910.
Bill was born July 21, 1975, Phillipsburg, to William M. and Beatrice (Krause) Bratton Sr. Bill was a graduate of Junction City High School, class of 1994. He was also a graduate of Manhattan Vocational College.
Bill was employed by the State of Kansas and worked as a mechanic at Fort Riley. He loved music, fishing and was a huge NASCAR fan and he loved his golden retriever Matty, and playing his guitar, but most of all he loved being the "Best Uncle" to his nieces and nephews.
Bill is survived by his parents, William and Beatrice Bratton Sr. of Junction City; his sisters, Renee Williams (Eddie) of Killeen, Texas, Monica Baker (Richard) of Pratt, and Regina Craddock (Terry) of Fort Benning, Ga. William is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Justin, Austin, Lucas, Nathaniel, Jackson, Sabrina, Kristen, and Cody; and his aunt and uncle, Sylvia and Les Swarts of Phillipsburg.
