Trustees approve the addition of electrical technology and photo journalism.
Pratt Community College is once again opening new doors of opportunities for students with not one but two new programs.
Joining the programs at PCC are Electrical Technology and Photo Journalism with a Broadcast Journalism option.
The new programs were approved during the regular Board of Trustees meeting Monday night.
This is the first step to getting the programs in the curriculum. The Kansas Board of Regents has the final approval for new programs at the college.
Both of these new programs already have a connection with existing elements at the college.
The college is going to operate a community cable TV channel (672) and the college wanted to tie it directly to a career program, said PCC President William Wojciechowski.
