Michael John Fehrenbacher, age 46, of Eagle Rock, Mo., passed away quietly following a lengthy illness, on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at his mother's home.

Mike, son of Melvin C. "John" Fehrenbacher and Carolyn K. (Skulavik) Kellar was born on Aug. 17, 1966, in Larned. He attended school in Kansas until he was 15, at which time he moved to Monett, Mo., where he attended both Purdy High School and Monett High School. At the age of 17 he moved to California and began a career in construction. He owned and operated Triple A Desert Repair in Palm Springs, Calif., for several years. He loved to tell how he had repaired party damage to Bob Hope's home.

Mike married Sherry Ann Cox of Augusta, Kan., and to that union three children were born. There are many friends from California to Indiana, as well as Kansas and Missouri, who will miss Mike's quick wit and charm. He will be missed by all.

Survivors include one son, Brandon Ray Fehrenbacher, of Augusta; two daughters, Stephany Leann Fehrenbacher, of Augusta, and Sabrina Breann Fehrenbacher, of Wichita; his loving mother, Carolyn Kaye Kellar and his stepfather, Leroy Kellar, of Eagle Rock; one sister, Michelle Garrison, of Topeka, and her children, Spencer Andrews and Megan Garrison; one brother, John Christian Fehrenbacher, also of Topeka; two maternal uncles, John L. Skulavik, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Gary L. Maier, of Pratt; two maternal aunts, Kay Mathney, of Gunn Barrel City, Texas, and Carol J. Watson, of Eagle Rock; two paternal uncles, Danny Fehrenbacher, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Joey Fehrenbacher, of Wichita; three paternal aunts, Theresa Fehrenbacher, of Great Bend, Anna Marie Fehrenbacher, and Helen Fehrenbacher, both of Achison; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents, Wayne and Betty Fehrenbacher; his paternal great-grandmother, Florence Fehrenbacher; his maternal grandparents, Leon and Norma Maier; and his maternal grandfather, John F. Skulavik.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville, Mo. A private celebration of life will be held in Kansas at a later date.
