The Pratt High School golf team took 3rd of 7 schools at the Russell Invitational on Thursday, scoring 391. TMP won the event with 340.
Tyler Skaggs shot an 88 to pocket the bronze medal to lead Pratt. Spencer Sullivan had 98 (12th), Navarre Strapp 102 (16th) and Skylar Stalcup 103 (18) to account for Pratt’s scoring. Alec Hampton posted 106 (23rd) and Cole Fincham 116 (29th).
In JV action, PHS finished 2nd (468) behind Phillipsburg (452.) Hunter Walker was the JVs top finisher at 102 (4th). Zach Will shot 116 (12th), Ethan Gillig 124 (18th) and Dakota Hankins 126 (19th).
Head coach Andy Kisner thought the team did well on a day in which the blustery winds elevated everyone’s score on the always challenging Russell course. “We have improved,” Kisner said. “We need to continue that trend.”
The Pratt linksters travel next Tuesday to Halstead for a 3 p.m. tee-off.
