A one-vehicle rollover accident Thursday night injured two men from Pratt County.
Two Pratt County men were injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident southwest of Pratt just after 9:15 p.m. Thursday.
Anthony Bates, 22 of Coats, was driving a 2004 Dodge Durango southbound on SW 20th Avenue south of SW 50th Street when he lost control and slid sideways into the east ditch where the vehicle rolled at least four times, said Pratt County Sheriff Vernon Chinn.
The vehicle finally hit a Ninnescah Electric power pole and came to rest upside down in the east ditch. The impact knocked the top wire down onto the bottom wire causing a power outage for a customer.
Bates was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was ejected from the vehicle. Pratt County EMS transported Bates to Pratt Regional Medical Center where an EagleMed helicopter later transported him to Via Christi St. Francis Campus where he remains in fair condition.
Edward McGraw, 28 of Pratt, was a passenger in the vehicle. Pratt County EMS transported McGraw to Pratt Regional Medical Center. McGraw's condition was unavailable.
The Pratt County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
