Tim Ziegelbein is the featured artist at the Delmar Riney Art Gallery at Pratt Community College for the month of June. His exhibit features portraits of friends, photographs of weddings and other important moments, along with images from Miss America and Miss Kansas pageants. Ziegelbein has followed the Miss Kansas pageants for several years and enjoys the opportunity to portray the excitement of the pageants through his work.

"My favorite thing about photography is having the ability to create something and share it with anybody who can appreciate it," Ziegelbein said. "It's wonderful to be able to take a situation or an object and make it look so much better."

Ziegelbein has been a photographer since 2011, and credits his love for the art to the encouragement of Wichita photographer Eric Frank. Originally from Seattle, Ziegelbein relocated to Wichita in 1971 and works in Information Technology for Koch Industries.

The Delmar Riney Art Gallery is located in the Riney Student Center at Pratt Community College. The hours are Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., or by appointment. For more information about the gallery or to make an appointment, please call (620) 450-2184.
