Memorial service set for Friday.

Ida P. Hoffman, age 88, was born March 17, 1924 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Ramon and Jessie (Escadera) Campos. She passed away Dec. 25, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Martha, Connie and Carrie and a brother Ray Campos. Ida was a devoted wife and mother.

She had a wonderful spirit and loved life, family and friends. All holidays were celebrated with joy and style. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She always supported her husband throughout his career.

Dean R. Hoffman, age 91, was born in Pratt, to Edgar and Maude (Goodlow) Hoffman. He passed away Jan. 11, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Vera Hess, a brother Claude Hoffman. He was in the Coast Guard for two years.

He had a 40-year career with Dresser Atlas, starting as a oil rigman on oilwells to retiring as vice president of the International Division. Dean enjoyed golf, investing and reading. His quiet strength endeared him to everyone.

Dean and Ida were married March 3, 1943 in Los Angeles. They were devoted to each other for 68 years. They returned to Pratt often to visit their farm. Pratt always remained in Dean's heart.

They are survived by their two children, a son Bob Hoffman and wife Elizabeth, and Martha Haas and husband Bob; four grandchildren; Greg Sanders, Stacey McLaughlin, Breck Hoffman and Caitlin Hoffman and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 14 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt with Jan Blasi presiding. Condolences may be left at
