Arlie Dale Stonestreet, 80, died Monday, July 1, 2013, after a sudden and brief battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 17, 1932 in Pratt, the son of Dale Grossman and Irene Dorn (Wells) Stonestreet. He was a lifelong farmer.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict having attained the rank of sergeant.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt; served as president of the Sunset Cemetery Board in Cullison; attended daily coffee groups, and was a private pilot.
On September 3, 1955 he married Aquina "Queenie" Greiving. She survives.
Other survivors include a son Arlie Dale (Jhoe') Stonestreet II, Manhattan; two daughters Teri (Stuart) Briggeman, Pratt, and Leisa (Darrel) Schon, Andover; a brother Ronald, Montrose, Colo.; and four grandchildren, Katie Schon, Bradley Schon, T'Lane Briggeman, and Karliedale Stonestreet.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, and from 9 a.m. until vigil time Thursday, July 4, which will begin at 4 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt, with the Rev. Floyd McKinney officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Cemetery in Cullison, with military honors provided by Ft. Riley Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cullison Sunset Cemetery or to the Sacred Heart Endowment Fund in care of the mortuary. Condolences may be left at www.larrisonmortuary.com
