Twila Faye Bookstore, age 74, died July 8, 2013 at Leisure Homestead, St. John. She was born on Sept. 13, 1938 at Stafford, the daughter of Alva L. "Pete" and Cleo Bell (Hartsell) Block.
A 1956 graduate of Stafford High School, she was a businesswoman and past owner of Gee Oil Service and St. John Auto. She previously worked for the Telephone Company, St. John District Hospital, St. John National Bank, was a cook at Dodge City Sale Barn and was a farmer. She was a resident of St. John since 1960 and had memberships with First Baptist Church, Red Hat Society and Mother's Club all of St. John.
On Dec. 3, 1960, she married Robert Dale Bookstore at Stafford. He preceded her in death.
Twila is survived by a son, Michael Dale Bookstore, St. John and preceded in death by a son, Justin Robert Bookstore.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 11, at Minnis Chapel, St. John. Burial will follow in Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
