Donald "Don" L. Trinkle, died Friday, July 19, 2013 at his home near Preston. He was born Aug. 6, 1931 in Preston, the son of Roy C. and Lillie (Hoffman) Trinkle. He was a farmer and a stockman.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pratt, 50/50 Sunday School Class, and was a 50-year member of the Kilwinning Masonic Lodge.
On Aug. 16, 1953 he married Dorothy Simon at Preston. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Sandra (Ken) Hassig, Overland Park; a son, Steve (Carolyn) Trinkle, Matthews, N.C.; a sister, Beverly Harrison, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Trinkle, and Kelsey and Grant Hassig.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Alvin, Winfred, and Merle; three sisters, Geraldine Pliler, Claudine Acord, and Mary Goertzen; and a granddaughter, Julie Hassig.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at Larrison Mortuary 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 22, at the First United Methodist Church, Pratt, with Dr. Dan Ferguson and John Havens officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt.
Memorials may be made to South Wind Hospice, the First United Methodist Church, Pratt or the Pratt Public Library all in care of the mortuary.
