Grant writing workshop set for Aug. 7.
South Central Community Foundation is challenging non-profits, churches, and schools in its seven-county service area covering Barber, Comanche, Kingman, Kiowa, Pratt, Rice and Stafford Counties to find ways to use grant monies that will make a big impact in their communities and then encouraged to use that information to apply for SCCF community grant funds.
Applications are available on the website, www.sccfks.org, in the office at 114 West Fifth Street in Pratt or by email request, email@example.com.
For the third year, the Foundation is also offering K-12 School Teacher's $100 grants. This grant is designed to provide funding for a classroom project or field trip that is no longer in the school's educational budget. We understand devoted teachers spend hundreds of dollars annually providing these projects for their students. Teachers in the SCCF seven-county service area are encouraged to apply!
"Both the Community Grants and Teacher's $100 Grants promote SCCF's grassroots grant making concept", said Bekki Pribil, SCCF executive director. "These community based grants strengthen and connect local non-profits, churches, schools, etc. in OUR rural communities! I encourage new grant writers or interested persons to attend our grant writing assistance session (specific to these grants) from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 114 West Fifth Street, Pratt."
Reserve your spot today by contacting Maggie Southard, SCCF program manager, firstname.lastname@example.org or 620/672-7929.
Both grant applications will be available by several methods this year:
• Download from the SCCF website at www.sccfks.org.
• Request by email email@example.com
• Request by calling (620) 672-7929.
The completed applications are due back to the SCCF office no later than 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30th or postmarked by Saturday, Aug. 31st.
"Our Youth Making A Difference Council members and SCCF Grants Committee members look forward to receiving and reviewing grant applications," Southard said. "Being able to make a positive difference in our communities is exciting, and I am proud to be a part of this very rewarding process."
