    PCC volleyball downs GCCC; announces Buck Night
    The Pratt Community College volleyball team got the season off to a good start, taking a match from Garden City on the road Wednesday night.
    After dropping the first game 23-25, the Lady Beavers responded with a vengeance, sweeping the next three games to claim their first victory on the young season. Scores in the final 3 games were 25-18; 25-23; 25-13.
    The Lady Beavers continue on the road this weekend, playing in a tournament in El Reno, OK. Their first home appearance will be Wednesday September 4 at the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena at 6:30 p.m. To encourage a large crowd for their home opener, the Lady Beavers and PCC announce that it will be Buck Night— it will only cost $1 to get in to watch the Lady Beavers take on Dodge City.
    Soccer teams fall to 0-3
    The Pratt Community College soccer teams had a rough road trip out west this week. Both teams dropped a pair of games, one each to Northwest Tech and to host Trinidad CO. The women fell 5-4 to Trinidad and 4-1 to Northwest Tech.
    The men’s scores were 5-1 in favor of Northwest Tech and 2-1 in favor of Trinidad.
    Both the men’s and women’s squad continue winless, beginning the fall campaign 0-3. PCC will host Coffeyville on Sunday with the women’s game at 1 p.m. and the men’s game at 3 p.m. the games will be held at the PCC soccer pitch.
