  • Pilot Club plans Western Day

  • The Pilot Club of Pratt and the Pilot Express Railroad will hold their Western Day again (weather permitting) on Sept. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Sixth Street Park.
    The cost of the days activities will be $1 for a ride on the train and the remainder of the activities are free. Some of the games and activities are tepee campground, games of roping, boot toss, fish pond, horseshoes, stick horses and ring toss.
    Available that night also will be a food booth selling sloppy joes, hot dogs, walking tacos/western nachos, chips, cookies, pop and water.
    Western music will be provided from 6 to 8 p.m. by Verlan Elliott and Shawn McIntosh.
    The funds which this activity provide will go for the upkeep of the train along with providing grants to other community organizations or schools for help in their projects.
    The train is property of the City of Pratt and the Pratt Tourism Committee. The Pilot Club of Pratt manages the train for the city.
