Merlin B. Clark, 85, died Sept. 2, 2013, at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center, Pratt. He was born Nov. 25, 1927, near Trousdale, the son of Robert Lewis and Mamie (Johnson) Clark. He was a farmer.
Merlin graduated from Haviland High School. He had lived in Haviland, Greensburg and Pratt. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge in Pratt.
On June 15, 1947, Merlin married Joyce Carson in Haviland. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Eugene and wife Pinki Clark, Pratt, Ron Clark, Haviland and Gary Clark, Pratt; one daughter, Karen and husband Perry Mayes, Pratt; two sisters, Waunita Cochran, Beaver, Okla., and Murietta and husband Wally Tiede, Great Bend; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Randa Clark and a sister, Eulietta Lindsey.
There will be a private family inurnment at Soldier Creek Cemetery near Belvidere. Memorials in Merlin's name may be made to the Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg, KS 67054.
